On my recent trip to Toronto, I explored the East side of the city more than ever before. I was staying up near the Shops at Don Mills, a swanky new mall that reminds me a lot of The Grove in Los Angeles. There is an Aroma Cafe there, but that is about it for brunch/coffee excitement. So I ended up on The Danforth at a cute place called Three’s Company. Their brunch is fantastic in a crazy, OMG I could not half of what is on this menu (think breakfast poutine) kind of way. The Eggs Benedict on a biscuit was pretty amazing and definitely worth a repeat visit.

Another amazing find was The Rooster Cafe on Broadview and Withrow. Overlooking Riverdale Park and its beautiful view, this cafe’s patio would be such a prime lounging spot in the Summer. In Winter it is cute and cozy. They have free WiFi and even a games table. It has neighborhood gem written all over it.
